Hello, I am Henk Looman. Born on April 5th. 1953 on the island of Curaçao, Netherlands Antilles. Since birth, life gave me all kind of signs that my destiny was one to become a photographer. As a 4 year old child, I was already playing with a Minox camera. At one point, one of the knobs suddenly broke off, and I ended up swallowing it. My grandfather was a well known photographer and owned and operated the first photo engraving plant in the Netherlands Antilles. I saw several times how he developed his negatives..... which gave me the great idea of taking one of the old negatives of my grandfather and throwing it in water thinking it would develop......ha,ha,ha.. At the age of 8 I received an Agfabox as a gift..
That was the beginning of the journey.
